People in our community sometimes face unexpected hardships and experience rough seasons in life. Often what’s needed in order to continue through these rough circumstances is a small break
Located at the Rescue Mission’s Downtown Tacoma Campus, Need-A-Break Program is devoted to helping people succeed in our community by meeting needs that they cannot fulfill on their own. These needs include household items, furniture and minor vehicle repairs. Our goal is to funnel the communitys’ compassion effectively to those in need.
Donations
Need-A-Break Program is accepting donations at our warehouse located at our Downtown Tacoma Campus, 425 South Tacoma Way Tacoma, WA 98402
Monday-Friday 10am–4pm
Saturday 9am–1pm
Donations are efficiently distributed throughout Rescue Mission facilities and to community members in need. Stay tuned to our Need-A-Break Blog for current needs, and stories of clients who have been transformed by these gifts .
Due to the Pierce Transit construction at the downtown location, the Adam’s Family Campus, at 2909 S Adams St, will be accepting donations two days a week: Thursdays from 2-4 pm, and Saturdays from 1-4 pm. The Adam’s Family Campus will accept clothing, toiletries, and small household items.
Hospitality Hours
Our warehouse is open to those in need in our community for household items such as blankets, sheets, dishes, cookware, and clothes.
