Programs & Facilities / Downtown Tacoma Campus: Veterans Resource Center

The veterans resource center at the Rescue Mission's Downtown Tacoma Campus provides voluntary assistance to homeless veterans in a partnership with the U.S. Veteran’s Affairs Administration at American Lake and Seattle. We are members of the VA Stakeholders Committee and Heroes to Home Towns.

We meet with homeless veterans who come to The Rescue Mission for food and shelter. We offer conversation and an opportunity to explore alternatives to homelessness. We direct veterans to resources at Veterans Affairs Facilities in the Puget Sound area.

The Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System, American Lake Provides a Licensed Homeless Outreach Social Worker on a regular basis to determine the best solutions for helping homeless veterans.

Hours of operation:

 Monday – Friday 3:00pm to 6:00pm

On Mondays a VA Homeless Social Worker works in the office from  3:00pm to 6:00pm.
